BlockBounce Privacy Policy

Welcome to BlockBounce, a mobile game developed by Xenotronic LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our BlockBounce mobile application (the "App"). The App is designed as a mixed-audience app for all ages, including children under 13, and complies with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

1. Age Verification

On first launch, the App presents a neutral age verification prompt asking if you are 18 years or older. This helps us configure appropriate advertising and is stored locally on your device. No personal information is collected during this process. In future updates, you will be able to adjust this setting in the app.

If you select "under 18," we treat your usage as child-directed under COPPA, serving only non-personalized, G-rated ads. If you select "18 or older," we may serve personalized ads based on anonymized data, but we do not collect any personal information from you.

2. Information We Collect

Non-Personal Information: The App uses accelerometer data for gameplay (device tilt) and stores game progress (scores, achievements) locally via SharedPreferences. This data is not transmitted or stored remotely.
Advertising Data: We use Google AdMob to serve ads. For users under 18, ads are non-personalized and G-rated (suitable for children). For users 18+, ads may be personalized based on anonymized data (e.g., device type). AdMob may collect anonymized data to deliver ads but does not collect personal information from users under 13 or those treated as child-directed. We do not transmit persistent device identifiers (e.g., AAID) from users under 18.

3. How We Use Information

Gameplay: Accelerometer data controls the game ball’s movement. Local storage tracks scores and achievements for leaderboards.
Ads: Anonymized data is used by AdMob to serve appropriate ads based on your age selection (non-personalized for under 18; potentially personalized for 18+).

4. Third-Party Services

5. COPPA Compliance

BlockBounce is COPPA-compliant by:

Not collecting any personal information from children under 13 (or any users) without parental consent—we collect none at all, so consent is not required.
Using AdMob in child-directed mode with G-rated, non-personalized ads for users under 18.
Storing all game data locally on the device.

Parents have the right to review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child's information (though minimal data is collected). 6. Data Sharing and Security

We do not share personal information, except with AdMob for anonymized ad serving or as required by law. Local data is stored securely on your device, with reasonable measures to protect it from unauthorized access.
